New York, New York!

Just two more days until my New York trip! I've got all my tickets except for the Wicked Behind the Scenes tour which for some strange reason is will-call.

Things to do today:

Start packing
Buy bus ticket
go to the bank
go to post office
print hotel information
print attraction information
think of other things to do before I go

*sigh* Only in New Jersey.

The New Jersey state supreme court has released its ruling on same-sex marriage. Unfortunately it's over 50 pages long and the networks haven't figured out what it says yet.

Shut up, and Sing

So, I sat through Madonna on Oprah today because I really wanted to see the Dixie Chicks. Turns out they were there to promo their new documentary Shut Up, and Sing, all about the fallout from Natalie Maines's comment in London. It's in limited release starting this Friday and I think I need to make a point of seeing it while I'm in New York. My favorite part of the interview was when Oprah asked Natalie if she regretted the comment. Her response was that if she'd known what a big deal it was going to be when she said it that she'd probably have tried to think of something smarter, but that it probably would've just got her in more trouble.
