You never call me pookie!

Old people never stop complaining. Like today they were all complaining about the fact that the heat was broken. And really, it was the first time I'D been comfortable in the three years I've been working there. Too bad they had to fix it. I went through the entire first med pass quietly singing "It's nothing. They turned off my heat."

I've got to get my new tires put on tomorrow. After I shovel the snow. This trip will also involve going to the bank, so I can pay for the tire installation and I may just walk over to the Toys R Us while I wait for the nice folks at Wal-Mart to put my tires on.

Going to Heather's on Saturday. Am very, very excited.

I got my JC/Tony HOB pic in the mail today. I <3 it.

I'm going to see RENT next saturday. Should be a fun time if anyone would like to join me. (squeee-Sebastian!)

I'm almost done with my JoLa. I'm hoping to have it done by tomorrow, so I can show the rough version to Heather this weekend.

I started the Atkins diet four days ago, and it's working. I haven't lost any weight yet, but everything he said in the book is happening. I have more energy, and I just have a general sense of feeling better that I can't explain. Also today, for the first time in my life, I wasn't hungry. I was able to look at a bag of cheez-its and say to myself "I don't want that" instead of "I shouldn't eat that". I brought chicken and a caesar salad for dinner tonight and just ate the salad and felt satisfied. This is a new and amazing feeling for me. Like right now, I'm thinking about eating cheese because that's usually what I do at this time of night, but as I contemplate my stomach I realize that I don't actually want to eat anything. It's so weird. I've never NOT wanted food. This is gonna take some getting used to.

I hear AJ and Sarah called off their wedding. That's so sad. Sad news for Kevin and Brian too. Their grandfather died. And it seems weird to be including this here, but if anyone is interested in such things, Nick and Aaron Carter will be judges on Star Search next Wednesday.

I get what you're saying. There are four 'phases' to Atkins. In the first phase you virtually eliminate carbs altogether. You're allowed a total of 20grams per day in the form of nuts and veggies. In the later phases this increases. Eventually you are allowed to eat whole grain breads and fruit and there's less emphasis on fat. It's always a low carb diet but it becomes more balanced. The first phase is designed to get your body used to a new way of eating and kick start your metablolism. The second is the weight loss phase. The third and fourth are for maintenance and are far more balanced. Still low carb, but mostly avoiding stuff like white flour, refined sugars, stuff like that.

It's nice of you to be concerned.

Oh! Now see, that sounds totally reasonable. I have people almost cutting carbs completely with no end in sight, my guess is that they are modyifying the diet for a quicker decent into ketosis. That scares me silly. /This/ sounds well thought out and healthy.

*shuffles off to read more on Atkin's proper*
