Eh, I could see him working Mark, maybe. Or, no, to be honest, I see him either re-working Mark so he doesn't sound bad or admitting he can't hack it before they get too far into recording. I don't think he's an egomonster who would want to sound bad on film forever if he didn't need the face time, and I don't think he needs the face time.

The scary part of that sentence, really, is Chris Columbus is directing. CC seems to do the wholesome family friendly fare, and RENT shouldn't be made into that.

I think, actually, I'd like to see JC try for Angel. I don't know if he could deal with the range, but he would bring a very nice sensibility to the role.
