My cat is sick. This morning I noticed he wasn't acting like himself. When he didn't snap out of it this afternoon I took him to the vet. He has a fever. They kept him for tests. The vet just called and said the blood work was ok except his white cells are high. So it's probably an infection rather than some sort of major system problem. She's going to check his urine to see if that's the source of the infection and give him some antibiotics. She's also going to keep him overnight for some IV fluids to help bring the fever down. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he'll be able to come home tomorrow.

Thanks. The vet called and said he was responding well to the fluids and took some food. Hopefully I'll be able to bring him home tomorrow.
