Ok, so this is probably old news, but I just heard. Tony Blair is The UK's new Middle East peace envoy? Seriously? What the hell is that about?

He's actually the envoy representing the "Quartet" aka the US, EU, UN, and Russia... not just the UK. It had been announced pretty much as he was stepping down.
