You're collapsing sets of not terribly comparable things. The set of all Christians is not really comparable to the set of all homophobes. And the set of all Far Left (do you mean Marxists? Communists? Anarchists? Libertarians? Supporters of abortion rights and gay marriage? People who believe in progressive taxation and universal healthcare?) is not the same as the set of all pagans and atheists.
