While he is not wrong that some American producers need to step back, I agree with you that he should at least have an ear out for what fandom thinks—or have someone keep an ear out for him. Honestly, it's totally up to him if he wants to continue his Rose love after fandom has gotten over her, but the skanky race issues, he needs to deal with.
