The Laramie Project, 10 years later
OutQ’s Derek & Romaine was honored with a special recognition award from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for The Laramie Project, 10 Years Later — The Lasting Legacy of Matthew Shepard. Conceived and produced by Romaine Patterson, a friend of Matthew Shepard and co-host of the Derek & Romaine show, the documentary examines the impact the award-winning play-turned-film The Laramie Project has had on attitudes towards hate crimes. The special also features an introduction by legendary journalist and SIRIUS XM host Barbara Walters and is narrated by acclaimed actress Stockard Channing.
