He's not actually going to be in the parade. It's a pre-recorded segment that will air on CBS's coverage of the parades in New York and Miami.

You know, this went right over my head when I read it last night, and I was plunked on the couch promptly at 9AM, tuned to NBC. And VERY confused when they didn't announce Joey or RENT or anything. Came running back here to be pointed in the right direction--THANK YOU!!!

Boy, that Miami parade sucks some ass, doesn't it??

You're welcome. I just happened to catch it on jcchasez.nu last night before I went to bed. The Miami parade is awful, but not as bad as their coverage of the New York parade. And are they ever gonna show these performances they keep talking about?
