Going straight to hell

So I was in church today. And there's this song in the liturgy wherein one asks God to "restore a right spirit within me". Well, my mind was elsewhere at the time and I'm pretty sure I just asked God to remove my right spirit. I'm sure he realizes it was a mistake, but it's still embarassing.

Also, twelve people called while I was at church. Well, eleven really, because two of the calls were from work. But still. Twelve missed calls. I don't get that many calls in a day, and I got them in 45 minutes. Not a single one of them left a message, so screw them.

I was looking at friends' friends & saw your post on church. I was wondering this morning what it meant in our service when the deacon says "let us bless the lord" because hey, isn't God supposed to be blessing us?

I'm not sure. I've never been asked to bless the lord before. Praise fairly often, but never bless.
