Another interview

[livejournal.com profile] gblvr asked

1. Would you rather hear a bad singer sing your favorite song, or a great singer sing the song you hate the most? I've heard both actually and I'll tell you I'd much rather hear Joey Fatone singing Celebration well, than hear Justin Guarini sing anything.

2. What is the most ambitious bit of writing you've ever done? (if it's online, share the link) It's a toss up between my Emerald Cove fic available here. and my story where I took the characters from The Sentinel and put them in the B5 universe which is no longer online.

3. What is the farthest you've ever been from home? Oxnard, CA

4. Do you have a favorite sport, and if so, what is it? Ummmmm....Figure skating?

5. What is the best present you've ever gotten (you can go back to child hood for this one)? This is a tough one. I've got so many wonderful things in my life. My family is very giving. At the risk of sounding corny, I'm going to say that the love I receive from my friends and family is more important to me than any material thing anyone could possibly give me.

I disagree about the writing - I think that X2 story you wrote last year was your best. Though I haven't read the Sentinel/B5 one.

Thank you about the X2 story. I had hoped for more of a response than I got, so it's always nice to hear that people liked it.

OK, where is the B5/Sentinel story? Now I'm curious.

It's on my hard drive where it's very likely to stay because that was a long time ago and I've got so much better since then that I'm embarrassed to show it to people now. But it was ambitious.

I agree with Minotaur. I really liked the X2 story. I've meant to comment on it in depth, but looks like I'll never get around to it. Realizing it better to say something than nothing: Brak, that X2 story was sweet and gentle and I really liked it. And while I can't comment on which was more ambitious for you, I think the X2 story was more original.

Hee. I read the B5/TS story, and was disappointed by the fade to black - of course this is before I ever met you, and realized that most of your stories do that, and are better for it.

As for the song thing - yes, I agree. I'd rather hear Sting sing the song that never ends than listen to any of the AI people sing anything. Or Britney live. Gah.

Love is never corny. ::hugs you::

I don't read or write slash for the sex. I mean, I appreciate smut for what it is, but I prefer romance to sex most days. But having said that, the Draco/Harry you wrote for that challenge was really hot.

Why, thank you - it wasn't supposed to be *that* smutty, but Draco had other ideas, and you know that he's a spoiled little bitch who gets what he wants....

And yeah, I totally get the slash for romance thing - I go through phases. Sometimes I want the pr0n, sometimes I want the mush. It's really cool if you get both, though.
