According to Merriam-Webster it is in fact spelled K-E-R-F-U-F-F-L-E. No extraneous 'L' that seems to piss some people off so much. There's even a link you can click to have someone pronounce it for you.
Oh please. Like being wrong has ever stopped anybody, anywhere, from doing anything. Besides, "Kerfluffle" sounds even more fluffy and frilly and insubstantial. So there.
