I liked it, but this was maybe my least favorite part of the episode. Only bevause I liked the rest of it SO much. I like the Jack/Ianto ship but this seemed almost tacked on. Like they realized they haven't had a proper Jack/Ianto snog this season so they'd better throw one in.
See, I found the conversation that the preceded the kiss to be very revalatory about the nature of their relationship. It was a really sweet scene and didn't seem tacked on to me. It was a nice change of pace from the main storyline. In fact, if they had expanded the subplot a little, it would've made a nice B-story.
