I loved it until, well, YOU KNOW happened! Thank GOD it wasn't the season finale tonight--I would have had a stroke if I had had to wait until the fall to find out what happened. Not like they're going to kill him or anything, because, hello? THat would kill the show.
Emily was great! I really enjoyed the song. It's nice to see the character's lighter side come out. And yeah, David and Emily make the show. I don't think it could survive without either one of them.
I've thought it was Dr. Sweets ever since the episode where he showed up at the lab and knew so much about the Gormogon lore.
Also, it's just the rules of character parsimony: as the Gormogon plot is the closest thing this season's had to a season-long arc, if Gormogon is to be revealed this season, then it really should be a character with whom the audience is already familiar and has some level of investment. At this late stage in the game, for Gormogon to be revealed as a Player to be Named Later is kind of ... bad mystery storytelling.
If the creative team wanted to be really ballsy, they'd make it be Zach, because he not only meets the rule of character parsimony, but because he'd be genuinely shocking; I can't remember the last time a beloved series regular, with the show since the beginning, was revealed to be the serial killer the main cast was hunting. But since I don't see the Bones creative team going that far out on the limb, Sweets is a good alternative. He's been around enough that the audience is invested in and knows him, so the emotional payoff is there, but he's not someone who's been there since Day 1 who would thus be much harder to pawn off as having been a killer all this time with no one being the wiser.
