A thought on Mamma Mia-some people are watching it wrong

In a lot of the reviews I've read, both professional and amateur, I keep seeing people talking in a negative way about how they were more focused on Donna than Sophie, or that they identifed more with Donna. I think they're missing the point. Donna is the hero of the piece. Not Sophie.

I actually blame the marketers... they marketed it so heavily focusing on the "Girl searches for father to walk down the aisle" bit, when really it would have been better marketed as "What happens to a single Mom when her daughter's search for her father brings three former flames back to town"
