So, there's this girl at work. She's kind of flaky, and has some serious psych issues. She's not dangerous or anything, but I think she's got problems with depression and anxiety. I think she could benefit from two weeks in an in-patient psych unit. She's had a lot of stress lately and she doesn't cope well on the best of days.
Now here's the thing. She's nice, but I'm trying to keep my distance because I really don't need to get that involved with someone who's life is that dramatic. But I seem to be the only one who's being nice to her. Today she offered to fix me up with her brother. She says she's talked to him about me and he's interested in meeting me. She says he cute, and is gonna bring me a picture. Would it hurt to meet him? On the one hand, it would get me more involved in her life than I probably want to be if this guy and I hit it off. On the other hand, I haven't had a date in three years and would really like one. And even if we don't hit it off, why should Karen get to have all the no strings sex? I'll probably meet him. I guess it can't hurt.
