Just a quick post to say that I have picked up my pulls for the week, and Sally Floyd is my hero. She rocks like a rocking thing that rocks. A lot. May do some reviews later.

Gah! Young Avengers is eating my brain. Somebody help me.
Now that X-Factor has uncovered the truth about the decimation, they need to reveal it to the world. That way, the She-Hulk (or rather Jennifer Walters) can get all the de-powered mutants, and the families of mutants who have been killed as a result of being de-powered into a class action law suit against the Scarlet Witch.

Never gonna happen. But it would be cool.

Vacation was wonderful. Had a wonderful few days with my mother, sister, aunt, and cousins. My cousin's little boy is the cutest, happiest little one and a half year old I've ever seen. Just absolutely adorable. He seemed to really enjoy throwing things into the pool. Unfortunately, some transportation issues meant I had to cut it short a day and come home last night instead of tonight as I planned originally.

In between moments of family interaction I spent time enjoying the Young Avengers TPB(Hulkling/Wiccan is love), and then looking for fic courtesy of someone's unsecured wireless network. There was also lots of listening to The Drowsy Chaperone thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jgesteve. Spent the day hitting the comic shops where I managed to get every Young Avengers issue except number 7 plus the Runaways/Young Avengers crossover their doing for Civil War. Also bit the bullet and started a pull list at the comic shop I frequent and picked up some She-Hulk TPBs at the comic shop in Bethlehem.

I am still totally smitten with this comic. Here's some scans. Be warned one of them is pretty big.

Jamie arguing with himself )
I don't know why I find it so awesome when he argues with himself. Seriously. It borders on kink. It was always my favorite part of Andromeda too.

And am I the only one who thinks it's sort of sexy when he absorbs his dupes? )

Got home from work today to find Amazon had delivered the MadroX miniseries TPB that I ordered.

OH, MY GOD, I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!

Dude! The awesomeness cannot be described. Peter David is a genius. I love how the dupes are showing different aspects of Jamie's personality. The apathetic dupe who wouldn't let him out of the supply closet he was being held prisoner in because "nothing really matters anyway" was brilliant. The gay dupe was a nice touch too. I want to see him again.

So, I went to the comic shop today. Picked up Ultimate X-Men 71. This whole having to wait for the next month's issue really sucks. I miss the days when I could just pick up a TPB. I also picked up the latest X-Factor. I didn't really want to. I haven't really kept up with the Earth616 continuity for a while. In fact, one the reasons I started reading Ultimate (and eXiles back when I was reading it) is because 616 was way too complicated. But I have been keeping up the developments via the magic of the internets. And honestly, the whole House of M/Decimation thing really turned me off. But there was X-Factor and it's all about Multiple Man running a detective agency that's trying to figure out what caused the Decimation, and it's written by Peter David. Dude. Peter David. And Multiple Man. And also M. Of course, the downside is, it's got Siryn but I can live with that. Because...Multiple Man. Running a detective agency. I've already bought the TPB of the MadroX miniseries that Peter David wrote as a prelude to the new X-Factor and pre-ordered the first X-Factor TPB.

Shit. Now I'm reading two comics a month.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] caorann should be getting home soon and then it's off to Con.txt
.
