Well, this first thing didn't irritate me. But I'm going to mention it anyway.
My supervisor politely informed me today that while she realizes I'm doing my work and has no complaints, the fact that I read novels at the desk when it gets slow creates the illusion I'm not doing my job. And could I please not do it until after all the patients are in bed?
Ok. I see her point. I'm just gonna be bored now, because I never pull out the book until I'm absolutely sure I have nothing else to do.
On to the irritating things:
1)
The flaky HR secretary strikes again! Guess who was supposed to relieve me today at 11pm.
A nurse who's on vacation and an aide who has the night off.
So we had to wait around for 15 minutes until they found someone to come work there. Then we had to waste another 15 minutes explaining the floor to her because she doesn't usually work down there.
2)
My supervisor informed me that someone (she can't tell me who, but I'm pretty sure who it is) has complained about the fact that I listen to music during 11p-7a when I do my double shift. I explained to her as I will explain to the person I think made the complaint that I do it to keep me awake, but if they would rather I slept, I wouldn't mind.
3)
Bills. Lots of them. Phone, cable, rent, the works. I get paid this week, but I know what I'm getting won't offset what I just spent tonight.
