So, I had an interesting time getting to work to day. For one thing, the deluge began about two minutes before Karen and I left for work. Then, just as I was passing undr the Route 22 overpass in Easton, my car died. I could get it started but it would stall once I put it in Drive. Of course I didn't bring my phone with me so I had to march through the driving rain to find a phone. I called AAA. Then I called work to tell them I'd be late. Then I called dad to have him meet me at the garage. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. People were in such a hurry to get around us that they veered into oncoming traffic to do it. Then there were the people who sat behind us honking. Because somehow the hazard lights and the fact that the car wasn't moving failed to signify to them that there was something wrong with the car. Perhaps they thought I had fallen asleep. Or maybe they thought the magic sound of the horn would somehow repair my car. So we finally got to work. We were really only an hour late. Dad leant me his car. I don't know what's wrong with the car. I have to call them. I hope it's not expensive.
