Some thoughts I had today.

The activities department at work shows movies sometimes. I heard them asking a lady if she wanted to watch a Shirley Temple movie. It got me thinking. What kind of movies are they going to show me when I'm old?

Now I'm picturing a perky 19 year old girl saying "Do you want to come to the dining room, Matt? They're showing The Breakfast Club."
Or me in my room ringing my call be to ask the aide to help me load Run Lola Run into my DVD player.

Rosemary Clooney died on Saturday. This makes me very sad. I also continue to be saddened by the death of Ann Landers. I've been far more effected by her death than I thought possible.

I bought tickets to Diana Krall today. I usually wait to get the day off before I drop cash on tickets, but there were floor seats at PNC, which hardly ever happens because most of the seats are taken up by subscribers.

JC-(rolls over in bed groaning as he answers the phone) 'Lo?

AJ-Good morning, baby. Or should I say good afternoon?

JC- You're evil, you know that? I'm on a hiatus here.

AJ- That doesn't mean you get to sleep the day away. It's that time again.

JC- (Sits up in bed) Tell me my fortune, oh great all-knowing one.

AJ- (the sound of rustling paper is heard over the phone) Leo: A temporary setback on the job or in matters of child rearing is the result of a small oversight. It is safe to explain your dilemma to a loved one. A close friend's argument is convincing, but wrong for you.

JC- Hmmm

AJ- Are you even doing anything resembling work today?

JC- No, but Joey's bringing Brianna over later.

AJ- Freaky. Sounds like Timberlake is going to try talking you out of dating me again. Remember, convincing though he may be, he's wrong.

JC- I'll remember. What's yours?

AJ- Capricorn: By joining a group, your power increases. Colleagues reach a breakthrough, and you benefit too. Showing appreciation makes you feel good. Luck involves a settlement.

JC- That makes no sense.

AJ- What?

JC- Luck involves a settlement? What does that mean?

AJ- I was hoping you could explain it. You're the incoherant one.

JC- Even I have my limits. So, colleagues reaching a breakthrough. That's good.

AJ- Yeah, maybe Brian'll start talking to Nick again. That would benefit me.

JC- Is it that bad?

AJ- The kid's managed to piss everyone off. It's just a bump in the road. Though according to this I'd be better off joining another group. You guys have any openings?

JC- None you haven't filled already

AJ- Oh dude! That is just too sick for afternoon TV.

JC- We're not on TV.

AJ- Thank God with you saying shit like that.

JC- Maybe it means you should get closer to a group you're already in.

AJ- Could be.

JC- Do Taurus.

AJ- Who's Taurus?

JC- Lance

AJ- You really miss him, huh?

JC- I worry.

AJ- Taurus: If you can't have artistic license in your job, you'll retaliate in sneaky ways. Encourage a loved one's creative attempts, even though you secretly don't get it.

JC- (laughing) That's Lance all over.

AJ- Dude's all about revenge.

JC- Justin said he was going to talk to Lance soon. He's going to play one of the new tracks for him.

AJ- I hope he's encouraging.

JC- He will be.

AJ- Hey check this out. Aquarius: Image is important on the job. A surprise visit from a loved one brightens the day. Avoid dipping into savings to purchase unnecessary items JUSTIN. Your white lie saves a colleague from embarassment.

JC- I'll make sure Justin keeps his check book closed. Hey, maybe Nick is gonna do something nice for that colleague.

AJ- Could be. Tell Fatone to look out for unexpected guests. Anybody else?

JC- We did all my other guys we might as well do Chris.

AJ- What is he?

JC- Libra.

AJ- Libra: It is tempting to take advantage of a position of authority but very dangerous to do so. Honesty with a loved one is the only way to regain trust and openness.

JC- I'll have to take him out to dinner or something today. I know he's been pestering Dani a lot lately.

AJ- Anybody else?

JC- No I'm good. Thank you for doing this every morning.

AJ- Afternoon.

JC- Whatever. It's just I don't like being so far away from you. Doing this, it's like we're reading the paper together.

AJ- What can I say? I'm just sweet and romantic llke that.

JC- See, you like to pretend you're all tough, but you're really a big softie.

AJ- Don't go spreadin' that around now.

JC- It'll be our little secret.

AJ- Good. I've gotta go. Have fun with the rugrat today.

JC- I will. Talk to you soon.

AJ- Love you

JC- (yawning)Love you too.

AJ- You're going back to sleep, aren't you?

JC- Maybe.

AJ- Dream of me.

JC- (softly)I love you.

AJ- Love you too, baby. Sweet dreams.

JC- (light snoring)
