Have you ever read a really good story that obviously hasn't been beta read and could use it in the worst way? I'm doing that now. I like the story. It's a really nice AU. But the typos are just glaring.

'fifth teen' instead of fifteen

'easy to get alone with' instead of easy to get along with

There's also an unecessary descriptor where Joey says to Chris "[It] happened while you were at work," referring to Chris' job...

Little things that ruin an otherwise good story and make me feel like c&p'ing the whole thing into word, fixing it myself and then read it.

And yet, I still continue to read the story.

Looking Forward

I'm looking forward to next weekend, because my parents won't be away and I can do something other than watch their dog (which I don't mind doing, but this is two weekends in a row now). I think I'll try to see RENT

I'm really looking forward to ConneXions. I had such a blast last year even if I did end up with the Martian Death Flu. I'm moderating the LJ panel and I really should e-mail my co moderator at some point to figure out what he wants to discuss.

Actually y'all can help me. The topic is "How to best use your LJ in the service of fandom" Any suggestions?

The banquet will be cool. All these posts from people intending to dress up have me wanting to buy a new shirt.

But what I'm looking forward to most is meeting Ker's baby. Yes, I'm very excited about that.

I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow, but I am looking forward to getting paid this week.

Went with caorann to see Chicago again. It remains a very cool movie. Kevin is better than Richard Gere any day though.

They have an absolutley gorgeous X2 banner. It's beautiful. Wonderul shots of all the main characters, including my honey who looks just darling in his X-Men uniform, and the first shot of Aaron Stanford (Pyro) I've seen where he even looks remotely attractive.
