Did you ever notice how 90% of all WB heroines look the same? Seriously. I think Katie Holmes, Kristen Kreuk, Alexis Bledel, and Emily Vancamp are the result of some twisted genetics experiment. I honestly can't tell sometimes if I'm watching a commercial for Dawson's Creek or Everwood until I see one of the guys.
I have to work today. I wasn't supposed to. I was supposed to have off today in exchange for working Saturday. But they decided they need me more today than Saturday, which, really, is fine by me seeing as how I hate working Saturdays. I'm gonna have a good check next week. I worked six days last week, two of which were at the supervisor rate, plus I get paid for Easter. All this week, I'm acting supervisor while my regular supervisor is on vacation and two days next week as well. Also due to the new vacation program, I ended up with five extra hours. Being as how I work 8 hour shifts, I can't imagine myself ever taking five hours of vacation. Technically they're supposed to draw from that time first before using the rest of my vacation time, which is just a logistcal nightmare for the benefits department and will always leave me with five extra hours. So yesterday when I went in to inquire as to how many vacation days I had left the benefits coordinator asked if it would be ok if they just paid me for the five extra hours. So that's going into this check too.
It also turns out that even figuring in the time I took for Disney World and the day off I took next Friday to go see X2, I have four days left when I only thought I'd have one. One I need for a dress rehearsal in May. Now that I have the time to work with, I probably will take the two days I would need to get any enjoyment out of Fellowslash which will leave me with one day that I may or may not use for Eclecticon.
So to sum up: Getting a kick ass check next Thursday. Have more vacation time than I thought. All that and a new West Wing tonight. Brak's a happy camper.
