Snaps to
trixiesfic for being the only one to guess correctly.
1) I once killed a man by overdosing him with Morphine
Less people than I thought guessed this one. It's True actually. Though as with most things ( it all depends on the context )
2) I've owned four cars since I turned 18 and didn't pay for a single one of them.
True. The first was a present from my parents when I turned 18. It was a crappy Ford Escort they bought from my uncle's friend for $250.00. It didn't pass inspection and the mechanic said it wasn't worth fixing. So they replaced it with a Plymouth Reliant that was only slightly less crappy. It lasted a year. Then with some help from my grandfather, they bought me my first decent car. A Mercury Sable that I was stupid enough to wreck in an accident several years later. I still miss that car. The car I have now was given to me by my grandfather. In a remarkable coincidence he had just bought a new car when I wrecked mine and he gave me his old one. It's a 1990 Toyota Camry. I plan to pay for my next car myself. My cousin sells Hondas so I'll probably get a good deal. I love my family.
3) At the age of 16 I had sex with a cute farmboy from Nebraska at a Lutheran Youth Gathering in Atlanta, GA
Sadly False. I did indeed share a room and even a bed with a cute farmboy from Nebraska when I went to Atlanta. We did not, however have sex. Though one morning I did awaken to find that we had snuggled together during the night.
4) I lived for 24 years without ever leaving the Eastern Time Zone
True The first time I left the Eastern Time Zone was when I went to Escapade this year. A lot of you guessed this one.
5) I was on the local TV news at a gay rights rally at my community college. And so was my father.
True. A student at the school had defaced a banner we had put up for National Coming Out Day (Oct. 11) and made some rather vocal threats against the gay student body in general in the caffeteria. He was eventually banned from the property, but we decided to use the incident to draw attention to anti-gay violence. We held a rally which was well attended by the students (far more than I thought it would be). One of the speakers was our rep. to the state legislature and it was covered by local news. As for my dad? Well, no one was more surprised than I was (or more proud) when he showed up. The whole gay thing still freaks him out. He doesn't really understand it. But he's never been anything but supportive.
