My DMV adventure

So, I got up this morning, had some coffee, took a shower and headed out to DMV to get a duplicate title for my old car. The line was surprisingly short for a Saturday, and when I got to the head of it, they told me that they didn't do that there. I had to go to a notary or AAA. I decided to go to AAA. The problem is, that I don't go there all that often, so I only have the vaguest of vague ideas where it is. Generally, when I do my trip planning I go to the one in New Jersey. It's more convenient for a number of reasons, not the least of which being that I know how to get there. So after driving around for about an hour, I called my father and he told me how to get there. I still got lost, but eventually, I did get there. At AAA, I learned two things. Thing number one is that my membership card is out of date, but my membership is active. Thing number two is that I didn't lose the title to my car. I did, in fact, never claim it. I'm not sure which is more embarrassing. Anyway, the nice lady at AAA filled out a form, and I'll have the title in two weeks.

Then I went to Sam's Club to pick up mom's gift for Mother's Day. I got her National Treasure on DVD. And before you ask, no, I don't hate my mother. She loves bad movies. I got her The Deep Blue Sea for her birthday a few years ago. She loved it.
