So, I'm on vacation this week

I had to take 6 days before February or lose them and taking time around the holidays is always such a hassle even when you don't want off on the blackout dates. So I figured the week leading up to E-con and the Monday after was good. So far I'm enjoying myself except for some pretty crappy sporadic internet service that makes playing Final Fantasy XI problematic. I've examined all the possibilities on my end and now all that's left is for me to dig out a copy of my cable bill and make an angry phone call.

I also figured that this would be a good time to repaint my bathroom since it's in desperate need. Knowing nothing about painting and the like, I called my father and asked him to help me. He said he knew exactly what I needed and would go out and get it all. He came over yesterday and sanded and spackled. Today he came with the paint, one brush, and one roller. He's in there now painting. I told him that if he had brought two of everything that I could've helped. I mean, I didn't ask him over to do it for me. I'm lazy, but I'm not that lazy. All he said was "It's a small room."

Well, there's nothing to be done about it now.
