Things

-I've been covering night shift all this week while a co-worker is on vacation. It's really not that bad except I have trouble sleeping during the day. For the short time I'll be doing it (only until Monday night) I'm ok, but I can already feel it getting to me. Off tonight which is great for two reasons:

1. I won't have to delay gratification when it comes to the Stargates.

2. I'll be able to go to sleep while it's dark out.


-In other work related news, switching facilities apparently caused a little hiccup with the benefits people. The first pay period I worked, they missed taking my benefits out of my pay. So this most recent pay period saw me getting hit double. Ouch. Oh well, it's all straightened out now, so there shouldn't be any more problems. And I already agreed to pick up an extra day next week.

-My fic is back from the beta and I'll probably work on that tonight.

-Our router died during the spectacular thunderstorm I mentioned in a recent entry. Since then, caorann and I have been taking turns getting on the internet by plugging directly into the modem. I informed my network administrator father, who kindly ordered me a new one and brought over a substitute for us to use until it gets here. Unfortunately, no sooner had he left than the power supply burned out. It should be fixed tomorrow.

-I'm liking the nav bar. It's a useful tool when I remember it's there. I think I'd rather it were in a frame so it's always where I can see it.

-gas at the station near my house is 12 cents/gallon cheaper than in Jersey. This may be (given my meager paycheck this week) sufficient inducement to pump the gas for myself.

-Am currently going through Doctor Who withdrawal. I don't want to wait until Christmas! /whine

-Saw POTC2. It was ok, but all the obvious racism kept me from ejoying it as much as I expected to. Though I like to think I've grown as a person since I'm pretty sure I would've needed it all pointed out to me two years ago.

-Oh, Lance. Also, GLAAD can kiss my ass.
