Work sucked. Somebody coded first thing and 911 took for-fucking-EVER to get there. He died, of course, which sucks because he was one of the ones I actually liked. I spent the rest of the day playing catch up. One of the first people I finally got around to on med pass informed me that because I was so late getting to him that he was "not in a fucking good humor" and wasn't going to take his pills. There's something about watching a man die that severely impairs my ability to deal with other people's shit. I told him I didn't give a damn what kind of mood he was in and that he should take his seizure medicine because I had no intention of doing CPR a second time that day. He took his pills.
We got a new admission. He's not so bad, it was just another thing to spend time I didn't have on. He's sort of cute actually. He's got dementia (but he's what we call pleasantly confused) and he sort of looks like Henry Kissinger.
After work I went to dinner with my co-workers which wasn't bad except that I really just wanted to go home.
Thank goodness I'm off tomorrow.
I did get to watch ATWT today. Cyndi Lauper and the open-mouthed homosexual kissing both pleased me. Of course, Noah's all
( spoiler ) when Luke is finally
( spoiler ). But I'm fairly confident that with this show's track record what should be a 2-3 week angsty plotline will be resolved by the end of their next scheduled appearance (which is Monday).
