(sort of) day off

I worked 11-7 last night because the night nurse is in the hospital. It wasn't bad really. The old people were pretty quiet. The only thing that sucked is that one of the doctors had been in late on the 3-11 shift and wrote orders on almost all of her patients. So I didn't really get to start my own work until around 1am. But really it wasn't that bad and I didn't have to work during the day today. So now I'm at my parents' house hanging out with my mom and sister, which is nice.

I'm a littl tired though. I only got about four hours of sleep, which really is why I don't work night shift all the time.

So someone on Facebook pointed me to a recipe for a fun little cocktail created by an enterprising Doctor Who fan.

The Sonic Screwdriver is:

One shot of vanilla vodka
One shot of blue curacao
6oz. of lemon/lime soda

It's delightful. And pretty.
