We went to see Spider-Man. It wasn't as cool as X-Men but it was pretty cool. Cameos from Ted Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Lucy Lawless.
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst had absolutely no chemistry.
The real love story was between Peter Parker and Harry Osborn. They're so cute. They're both outcasts in highschool and when they go away to college, they live together. The scene at graduation where Harry is practically giddy when he tells Peter about the apartment he's found. Oh my God. Slashy, oh so slashy. It's tragic though because Peter had to kill Harry's father and now Harry is going to go insane and try to kill Spider Man.
I was thinking of doing an AU where Peter doesn't become Spider-Man and he and Harry live together in happy college boy bliss.
Karen suggests one wherein rather than kill the Green Goblin, Spider-Man just incapacitates him and Norman Osborn is institutionalized. Extra angst for Harry that way. Not that I'll write either of them.
Cool movie though.
