1) Do you believe in True Love? That there is one perfect person out there for you? Not really. I mean, there's so many people in the world, and so many different ways that people can meet, if there was only one perfect person for me, the odds against my meeting him in my lifetime are astronomical. I think that belief requires a belief in fate, which I don't have. That said, I think there are a finite number of "types" of people in the world, some of whom are very compatible with me. I think it's possible to spend your life with one person, but people need to undertand that romantic love doesn't last forever. Eventually the relationship becomes more about affection and companionship than it does about romance and sex. If the relationship can survive that transition, I suppose that's what I'd call true love.

2) What made you decide to be a nurse? Corny as it sounds, it was a desire to help people. From when I was very young I was thinking towards medicine. As a little kid I wanted to be a vet. As I got older, I considered dentistry, physical, and occupational therapy before finally settling on nursing because it seemed the most hands-on. I like "fixing" people.

3) Of your favorite type of fanfic, what draws you to that style/genre/pairing? As far as pairing goes, I have to be able to see it in the source material. It doesn't have to be overt, really all that's required for me is that the characters canonically like each other. The whole 'adversarial relationship as UST' thing doesn't really do much for me. The only time I've ever bought it recently was with Ephram/Bright where Bright was clearly acting like an eight-year-old pulling a girl's pig tails because he liked her.

I like simple romantic stories with happy endings. The kind of stories they make Sandra Bullock movies out of, only with two guys. Just simple stories about people in love. And angsty stories of unrequited love where the two guys get together at the end. I'm also a big fan of the 'high school AU' in popslash. I think that's some kind of wish fulfillment thing though. I didn't really enjoy high school that much when I was actually there.

4) What would your perfect meal be? From appetizer to desert. This is a hard question to answer for someone who likes food as much as I do. Let's see, I'd start with a lump crab cocktail, then a nice creamy soup like Lobster Bisque or cream of chicken. For the entree I'd probably have chicken or fish, definitley with a rice pilaf. Desert would either be cheese cake or this absolutely divine flourless chocolate cake I had once at the New England Culinary Institute.

5) Who was the first guy you kissed? What went through your mind right before and while it was happening? It was my first boyfriend in college. I believe the thoughts going through my head just before the kiss were something like "Well, it's about time!" because A) I was 20 and had never kissed a guy and B) we'd been dancing around each other for months and I was getting kind of tired of it. During the kiss I was mostly thinking "Damn, he's really good at this". Now that I have others to compare it with, I have to stand by that original assessment. He was a really good kisser.
