1. The School and Year you graduated
Philipsburg High School class of '96
2. Nickname in high school?
I didn't have one.
3. Sport you were into?
Not a one.
4. Had a circle of friends?
Yes. Three other geeky outcasts like me.
5. Best subject?
Um...Choir? I didn't really apply myself in high school. There was a lot of apathy on my part. Also boredom. The only thing I was particularly good in was senior English because I had a good teacher who actually expected us to think for ourselves. 12 years of school and it was the first time I'd ever been engaged like that.
6. Worst subject?
Algebra. It's the only class I ever failed.
7. A teacher you owe life lessons to?
Mrs. Brown. The above mentioned English teacher.
8. Describe in one word...
Freshman (year 9): Sucked
Sophomore (year 10): Hellish
Junior (year 11): Dramatic
Senior (year 12): Impatient
9. Your best friend was? Dan. We bonded in 8th grade over sci-fi and a mutual dislike for the rest of the student body. He was my closest friend all through high school.
10. Worst friend? Kara. She was the cause of most of the drama in Junior year. She wasn't a bad friend, but she was very overwraught which made dealing with her difficult at times.
11. How was the prom?
Eh. It was ok, I guess. The after party was cool. I won a TV.
12. Who were the prom king and queen?
I had already forgotten by the end of the evening.
13. Any achievements?
I won third place in a VFW writing contest we were forced to participate in.
14. Were you popular?
I was that kid everyone knew, but not because they liked me. They had to know who I was in order to make my life Hell.
15. Best song that reminds you of high school?
Istandbul, not Constantinople by They Might Be Giants. We played it pretty much constantly the whole four years.
