So I switched my weekend because I was originally scheduled to work next weekend which is when I'll be leaving for Florida. And I didn't want to work the weekend I came back because that's E-con. So, I asked if I could work this weekend instead. Fine, no problem. Until today. You see, I usually get the Thursday before my scheduled weekend off. Not this time. No reason. I suspect they forgot and didn't even realize until I asked about it yesterday, by which point it was too late to do anything about it. I suppose I could've pitched a fit and insisted on it, but I'm all about not drawing attention to myself at work these days.
It sucks though because I had a nice relaxing day planned (spend the morning playing X-Men Legends, see a matinee of The Forgotten with Doug, and listen to Seth's Big Fat Broadway). Oh well. I still get to play X-Men Legends all morning and Doug is off Sunday so we might be able to catch the movie then. It still really sucks that in place of a nice relaxing day I'm walking into the middle of four admissions.
