Saw it twice. And I'm just blown away. I mean...wow. Aside from Book and Wash dying it was everything I hoped for and more. How much do I love Kaylee? Seriously. I didn't think it was possible to love her more, but I do. And Inara. She didn't have a big part, but she was awesome. When the time came to fight she didn't hesitate. So much of what Inara does is about artifice and manipulation, but when the time came to fight she proved that she has a strength and a bravery that someone might not necessarily expect from her. Also, I felt that Inara was a little uneasy where she was at the start of the film. And I don't think it was just because the operative was there. I think being back on Serenity she realized that ,odd as it seems, she really belongs there. And then there's Jayne. He was a joy from beginning to end. With all the weapons and liking to keep his options open. And the "Sure wish somebody had brought some grenades". And how when the ship is falling from the sky, Jayne for all his protestations of self interest doesn't just strap himself in and let everyone fend for themselves. He makes sure Kaylee, Inara, and River are strapped in first, risking his life in the process. I love Jayne. I'll definitely have to see it again.
