So, whenever I go on long car trips I get this idea. Especially when someone spends the whole trip to Maryland sleeping and is absolutely no good for conversation or even sing-a-longs. So this idea I get. I want to cross *NSYNC over with The Stand. Now, keep in mind I haven't read the book, just seen the mini-series. And for some reason I picture this all taking place right after MMC has ended. I've got some ideas, but I need something to bring it all together into something I can write. Here's what I have:
JC and Tony are together. They've both moved to LA, but JC is in Orlando tying up some loose ends.
Justin hasn't moved back to Tennesee yet.
Joey and Chris are working at Universal.
There's lots of room for pathos
Chris, so far from his mother and sisters. Not knowing if any of them survived.
Joey, just totally shell-shocked that his whole family is gone.
JC finding Justin just sitting in the house next to Lynn and Paul's bodies not having eaten in three days because the whole thing is just so beyond him that he has no idea what to do.
JC, trying to be strong for Justin, while grieveing silently because the last time he talked to Tony he sounded sick and scared to death because the last time he talked to his family his parents both were, but Tyler sounded ok.
Chris, spurred on by the dreams leading them across the country and guided by an unknown 'something' to the town of Clinton, Mississippi.
It's coming to me in images. I've heard JC and Tony's last phone conversation in my head. I don't know though. I think the only way this could get written would be if I bought a lap top and just started driving across the country.
Now there's a thought.
