Sid is still in the hospital. The fever went down for a little while yesterday but was back up this morning. They put an IV in (after having to sedate him, poor baby) and that seems to be a better method of getting the fluids in and bringing the fever down. They did an X-Ray and didn't find anything. But they did find a tape worm in his stool. How he got it, I have no idea since the cats never go outside, but the vet said it could've been carried by insects that got tracked into the house. Fortunately tapeworms are easy enough to get rid of. I definitely need to tell ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
caorann so she can have her girls checked. I also need to take the litter pan outside and give it a very thorough cleaning. Oddly enough, she doesn't think that's what caused the fever. I'm really hoping that his temp will stay stable and I can bring him home tomorrow.
