Diana Krall was just amazing. She did all my favorites. I've always loved her cover of Joanie Mitchell's A Case of You but hearing it live just gave me goose bumps it was so amazing. She played Let's Fall in Love which is my favorite Diana Krall song ever.

It was really great seeing Megan again too. The Celtic Classic in Bethlehem is the weekend of her birthday. Our friend Shannon is trying to convince her to come down for it. I'll have to switch weekends, but I really want to go this year.

I made a new discovery. Diana Krall's opening act was beautiful young man by the name of Justin King. He's very talented. He sort of reminds me of Tony Lucca, only with a more Celtic influence. And he doesn't sing as much. He does things with a guitar that I didn't know were possible. He brought out a friend to play drums on a few of his songs. They're way slashy. I bought his album. He's just incredible.

On the way down to Holmdel I had the radio on and they said they would give a prize to the 10th caller who could name the singer of the song they were about to play. It was Nick's single. I tried to call in, but the line was busy. It's just as well. The prize was tickets to a football game.

This is only the second time I've heard the song, and it's growing on me a bit.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Justin King.

I'm feeling very fitful. Restless kinda. Every little thing is getting on my nerves. Bodie's going into heat and I feel like strangling her every time she makes a noise. People just talk to me and I feel like grabbing them and shouting "SHUT UP!!" I need to get away. Someplace quiet and peaceful where I can play jazz music, and Tony Lucca, and Enya and finally finish Lord of the Rings. Of course, that would leave Karen stranded in the house all weekend. I think I'll ask her if she wants to invite Amy for the weekend.

I just really need a break from the world, I think.
