Ug

So, I got up this morning at 6:30.
( The why is unimportant )

I told you it was unimportant.

Anyway, I got up at 6:30 in the morning. I took Karen to work. On the way home I went to Burger King but they weren't answering at the drive through, so I went across the highway to McDonald's instead. I took my Egg McMuffins home and ate them while I watched Lord of the Rings. I read some fic, and took a shower and went to Staples to by 3M sticky hooks.

Turns out Staples has moved and the new location isn't open yet. So I had to go the Staples in Nazareth instead of the one in Phillipsburg. I got my hooks, but I wanted the sticky clips because I want to hang the throw I got at Celtic Classic on the dining room wall. So I went over to Wal-Mart to see if they had them. They didn't. And then as I was leaving Wal-Mart I was overcome with a wave of nausea. I got to my car, and really have no idea how I managed to get home without throwing up, but I did.

I got myself a bucket, some chamomile tea and put on *NSYNC Making the Tour to distract me. When it became clear it was not going to pass, I called Karen at work to tell her I was in no condition to pick her up. Turns out she had gotten sick too, around the exact same time I did. (I can only presume food poisoning. The milk was a little suspicious this morning. Either that or we've been cursed.) But she was in a nursing home that has several kinds of nausea medication. Lucky bitch. After that, I made myself some toast and chicken broth. I figured since I watched them make the tour I should watch the actual tour, and popped in my MSG DVD. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Lance's crotch grab during Bye bye bye? Well, I do.

So here we are. Karen and I are both still sick, though I am now able to get myself in an upright position without feeling like I'm going to throw up.

We called in sick for choir practice tonight. Don't want to throw up on people. Definitely don't want to drive.
