My unit manager picked the perfect week to go on vacation. Our long-awaited state surveyors arrived today. Of course, administration is losing their minds already. The big problem today was our resident roster. It's this sort of computerized master list of all our residents. It lists payor source and medical problems etc... Anyway, the data mostly populates automatically from the medicare assessments we do on the computer, but the medicare assessments are only done quarterly so anything that changes in between has to be entered manually. Also new admissions have to be added manually. It's the unit manager's job to keep it current, and before she left she showed me how to do it. Unfortunately she showed me when she was logged into the system under her own username. Because if I had been logged in we would've realized that I don't have clearance to edit the roster. Oddly enough I can refresh it (which removes all manually entered data). So just to be clear, I'm authorized to fuck up the roster, but not to keep it up to date. I work for freakin' geniuses, I'm telling you. So anyway all this means I have to work with our ADON who doesn't really know what she's doing with a computer to update the damn thing, which of course takes ten times longer than if I were able to just do it myself.
And that was just today's problem. It's going to be a long rest of the week.
One nice thing, I set up my Tivo to record the Olympics coverage from this afternoon so I could watch thegay porn Greco-Roman Wrestling.
