I feel your pain, yo. Mothering/parenthood is pretty much a 24/7, 365-day a year job. So, in that regard--yeah. And my husband has to work today, at his job. So we're not having much of a 4th of July (again). I hope you have a good day, work notwithstanding. *hugs*
I spent years and years working retail, and before that, working in theatres, where it's open 365 days a year. So I feel very strongly that I have earned my no working on the fourth. :-p
Did you miss the post about the 12 consecutive days of working, and the 67 hours logged since Sunday?!?? Leave me alone in my day-offedness! I have to go in tomorrow, dude, so I feel your pain.
Seriously. I had to work myself, but somehow slavemongers at my job decided to close the store at 6pm, so I actually got to watch the fireworks this year. Of course it took a half an hour to get out of the parking area after the fireworks ended.
But now I must get ready to go to work, I have to be there at 8:30am. *gah*
