Getting ready to leave for Escapade and I feel as though I'm forgetting something. Not uncommon for travelers, I know, but it's still annoying.

I've got enough clothing for the weekend. I already packed my tooth brush. I've got the CD's I promised to make for people. I've got a few DVDs. I've got NC-17 LotR Twister. I've got some books I've been reading. There's fic on my palm pilot. I've got a nice assortment of pharmaceuticals. I've got my shaver and beard trimmer neatly in their cases with their chargers. I've got my phone charger. I printed out a list of JC appearances so caorann can tape them in my absence. I printed out another list for myself so I can call caorann and remind her to tape them in my absence. I've got my nail clipper and mini knife(in the checked bag of course, because nail clippers are weapons of mass destruction). All my toiletries are going in just as soon as I take my shower. And I honestly can't think of anything else. And yet, that feeling remains.

Plane tickets! ID!!! I know it's obvious, but do a visual check, and tell yourslef, "I'm putting my ticket in this here outside pocket..." so you have a verbal cue to remember when you're driving to the airport and that "did I forget my ticket??" panic starts.

Also, cash. Cash is high on my preparatory list for traveling. And directions and/or car rental information. You can have all of your "stuff," but if you can't remember where you're renting the car from or know how to get to the airport, or have the phone number of the person you're meeting up with, you're screwed. Take it from a seasoned traveler.
