So I'm working 11am-3pm tomorrow on my day off because I'm nice like that. I agreed to this before my absolutely awful Friday night. So I got two calls today. One from the day supervisor asking if I was interested in coming in earlier tomorrow because someone called out. I told her no. Then the night shift supervisor called to ask why I was only coming in at 11. I responded with the truth which is that I really didn't feel like getting up at quarter to six and working eight hours on my day off. She said they could really use the help but I stuck to my guns and said that I had already come into work on my night off and worked an extra five hours last week and had really only agreed to work tomorrow at all to be nice. I'm seriously tapped out as far as what I'm willing to give those people in terms of my free time. Especially since they never really seem to appreciate it when I do.
So God only knows what kind of mess I'll be walking into at 11 tomorrow, but damn it, I need my rest.
In other news, my sattelite company started broadcasting SIRIUS radio a few months ago. I haven't really checked it out until tonight. They have a Broadway channel. I think I'm in love. They play old stuff and new stuff. I've heard stuff from Wicked (which I'm thinking I maybe need to see now), and Hugh Jackman in Oklahoma!. Haven't heard anything from RENT yet, but did play a few songs from Avenue Q (which I definitely need to see). They even have announcers sometimes. The one guy who was on tonight was the gayest gay man that ever gayed. Seth something. He says he'll be on again at 6 tomorrow. My only problem is that the on-screen display doesn't always tell you what show the song is from.
So tomorrow, four hours of work. Tuesday more work. Wednesday I took off. It was never officially approved, but I've talked to the HR person and the Director of Nursing who both say it's ok. It should be since I found my own coverage. So Wednesday it's a daytrip with Doug which should be fun.
