So, I got tagged by [livejournal.com profile] im_justaguy and I decided to do something different with the meme. Rather than tag six people to tell me their favorite songs, I'm going to tag six people to tell me what they think of mine. So, I'm assigning six people a number from 1-6. At the very least, I'd like you to listen to the song that corresponds to your number and tell me what you think of it. If you want to listen to any of the others you're more than welcome (If you don't want to listen to any of them, that's fine too. But I'd really like it if you did.). I love music, and I love to share it with others. I'd very much like to know what you think of them.

1. Astonishing-Sutton Foster
2. Ing-The Roches
3. My Strongest Suit-Sherie Renee Scott
4. Taylor, the Latte Boy-Kristin Chenoweth
5. Just Some Guy-Anthony Rapp
6. The Wizard and I-Idina Menzel

6. [livejournal.com profile] latxcvi
Anyone else who would like to leave a comment about the songs is also more than welcome.

Hehehee. I can comment on four of the six, and I'd already d'loaded the one I was assigned, so there!

1. I like this song - i don't know who the actress/singer is, but I think she makes a good Jo (I am right about who she plays, yes?); she has a really good voice, and the words are something I think she'd say.

2. Ing! Ing! Ing! Hee, I love this song, it's so bouncy!

4. It's all your fault I like Kristin Chenowith so much -- this is the first song of hers that I ever heard, and you sent it to me. Also - I want a copy of the one you played for me at ConneXions - the one about the girl jumping rope upstairs? That one was good....

6. Another person that I wouldn't know about except for you - a very good song, and can I just say that I cannot wait to see her as Joann in RENT this November?!

I suppose I can do this one; it sounds fun, and it let's me inflict my music on someone else.... Mwahahahahahaha!

1. Sutton Foster is a-mahzing. If you want to hear more of her, pick up the cast album for the recent revival of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She won the Tony for playing Millie.

4. The song is called The Girl in 14G. I'm not home right now, but I'll send you a link when I can.

6. Tracie Thoms (from Wonderfalls) is playing Joanne. Idina is playing Maureen. She played her on broadway too.

This is a great song! The vocals and harmonies are wonderful and the song is bouncy. I can't place my finger on what this reminds me of, but it sparked a memory.

Thanks for sharing!!!

Hey....just wanted you to know I am not ignoring you... I've been trying over several days to do this and when I click on "my" song I get to screens. An add and a big blank white screen and that's it...

By the way, is number three the same some from AIDA? LOVE that play and love that song!

I actually don't like too many songs from Aida. Just My Strongest Suit, Elaborate Lives, and Written in the Stars. But My Strongest Suit is my absolute favorite. I think it would be the perfect drag queen song, because it's all about looking fabulous.

Hey! Guess what?!?!?!?! I finally finally got it to work! HURRAY!!! What a nice song! I liked it a lot! And it was fun that it was sorta my journal name! I've never heard of this artist and I like him...wonder if he will be available in the gay store in the city? I'd like to hear more of his music...

...I have dial up so it took like 26 minutes to down load so I can't do the other songs...maybe a friend will let me use his? I acutally had to use another friend's dial up to get this song! It would have take like 45 minutes with my computer! Arrghhh! LOL!

WONDERFUL SONG!

Thanks SO much for sharing it with me!

HUGS!

Anthony Rapp played Mark in the original broadway cast of RENT (he's going to be in the movie too). The song is from his album 'Look Around'. I don't actually own it. I downloaded the song a few years ago. The album is available on Amazon and isn't particularly expensive.
