brak666: (Oh no!.)

So the visit with the family in South Jersey was nice except for the part where I dislocated my knee in the pool and had to be taken to the hospital in my bathing suit. There was also a lot of throwing up from the pain meds and the incovenience of having to get around on crutches with an immobilized knee. But all things considered, I had a good time. My aunt's step-son (my step-cousin?) brought a friend (strangely enough the friend was named Buddy) who was perhaps one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He was a huge help the whole weekend. Getting me up and down the stairs, making sure I wasn't hungry/thirsty etc...It didn't hurt that he was cute either.

So, I'm not allowed to put any weight on my right leg until I'm cleared by an Ortho. Which means no working, and lots of hobbling around on crutches. I'm staying with my parents. It's really amazing the amount of things you can't do when you can't bend your knee or put weight on one leg (like take a shower. ug I feel so damn gross). I was lucky enough to get an appointment for tomorrow though all things considered, I'd rather be at work today. Never thought I'd ever say that.

Oh god, that blows. I hate that want-to-shower-and-can't business.

Yeah, but at least you got a cute guy at your beck and call. There are worse things in the world [grin].

Oh, ouch! That sounds terribly unpleasant, hwen not outright painful. Blech. I hope it all heals up soon, and in the meantime maybe you can talk the nice cute guy into bathing you?

*sigh* Nice idea. Unfortunately we've both returned to our respective homes :(

Wow. Sending you serious sympathy vibes. Believe me when I tell ya I feel ya. Can I send you and good reading materials while you are out for the count? ::pimp:: Y The Last Man, Fables (no, wait, I don't own those anymore), Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man?

Well, my hope is that I'll get cleared to walk tomorrow and will actually be back to work by Wednesday. So hopefully I'll only have one more day to fill with Broadway's Best and playing around on the internet.

::rushes to hug Brak, but stops for fear of knocking you over::

::gentle hug::

At least you didn't faint like [livejournal.com profile] lanchid did when she hurt her knee and had to go to the hospital. Although maybe you would have preferred that to throwing up.

I hope you're back up and around soon.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear you got hurt. And I'm sorry I didn't read LJ for the last few days. Otherwise I would have said something earlier. Work has been insane of late.

I'm sending good thoughts and comfort your way.
