Not much going on. I'm still very much enjoying being back on the day shift. The day people are a lot more fun than the night people. Went to the company Christmas party. It was nice. I sat with co-worker D and her husband, co-worker N and her new boyfriend, and co-worker E and his boyfriend. Wouldn't have minded having a boyfriend of my own, but such is life. We went out afterwards and I've come to the conclusion that bars aren't for me. It's all so loud, and the music sucks, and you can't talk to anybody(see above re: loudness). And I can't drink enough that I'll actually dance, because I have to drive home.

I got my Christmas tree up yesterday which I planned to do two weeks ago, but didn't because of the whole sleeping during the day thing. Now I just need to get it decorated. I try to do a theme every year, but couldn't come up with anything, so this year I'm calling it hodge-podge and pretending it's a theme. Next year I'd like to do a fannish tree. I have lots of Star Trek and Star Wars ornaments, and a few from some other fandoms (Harry Potter, The Incredibles, Disney), but I'll need a lot more if I'm going to make it work. If anyone sees anything cool, let me know.

Today I'm going out with the family to pick out the real tree that goes in my parents' house. That's always fun. Especially when my parents bicker and my sister and I laugh at them.

In Final Fantasy XI news, I completed my NPC quest and solo'd a dragon as a White Mage (for the many of you who don't know, this is impressive).

Re: Fannish tree: I think that is a terrific idea!. But now we need to know what fandoms you'd be wanting. For example, I know of a place here, that has Farscape fan-made ornaments. And I think you'd want SGA ornaments. But would you also like superhero-type ones? If so, who? More Incredibles? Other fandoms? I think there is a meme/wishlist in here somewhere......

Well, I've seen some stuff at Hallmark. More Incredibles would be good. I'm not sure about other superheroes. I'm really only into X-men. I'll check out those Farscape ones when I get home later. I'd like something Stargate related. If not an actual ornament there has to at least be some light weight model of the gate that I could hang from the tree. I think the really hard part is going to be the topper. I have Tinkerbell from when I did the Disney tree last year, and that will do in a pinch, but I'd rather have something else.
