I just ripped a bunch of stuff, and because I'm kind of bored, I put them all up on yousendit. For your listening pleasure:

What Could be Better? from Baby. My current obsession. I'm not sure what it is exactly that I love about this song. I mean aside from Liz Callaway's awesomeness. There's just something about the way they sound together even though Todd Graff can't really stand up to Callaway vocally. I love it. I can't explain it.

Two hilarious songs by Alix Korey from a revue of David Friedman songs. I'm Not my Mother, and My Simple Wish (rich, famous, and powerful). Even if you're not into show music, you should still listen to these songs. They're hysterical.

It Might As Well Be Spring by Susan Egan

And for you Captain Jack fans out there: Try to Remember by John Barrowman

I'd really like to hear what people think of these if they download them.

Ooooo cool! I adore Alix Korey, there is a song that she and Paige O'Hara do on a CD I have that is one of my absoulute faves

Hmmmm I have no idea how to rip CDs, but I could send you a copy of whole CDs if you wanted? They are VERY good, there is a series of them that is mostly obscure Jerome Kern music, Paige O'Hara, Alix, Kim Criswell, Jason Grae other really good folks on them.

:D Will do, yay for someone who loves broadway stuff. Have you ever heard anything my Sally Mayes?

Must send you some of her as well then. And yes, I love Broadway, just most of my favorite folks haven't been putting out much stuff in the last few years

I'm fairly fortunate in that my current favs are Sherie Rene Scott and Sutton Foster.

Discovered one of my old faves, Brad Kane (he did the singing voice for Aladdin) is now going by Caleb Kane and doing indie rock, which is pretty good, so at least some of them are putting out stuff.

I always leaned more toward the diva side, myself. I was big into Lea Salonga in the early 90's.

Oh yes me too, Brad is one of my few boy singers I really enjoy. I love the ballsy belting broad type of broadway singer. That great Ethel Merman tradition :D
