You know, I got all my shopping done early to avoid this very situation

So yesterday (December 23rd for those keeping track of such things) my grandmother calls my father and asks him if he has any idea what to get my uncle for Christmas. He doesn't and begins racking his brain. I guess he decided to sleep on it because when I got up this morning (staying at the parents' house for the holiday) I was told that "someone" had to go out and get a sonic toothbrush (btw, who looks at a toothbrush and says 'This needs to be more sonic'?). I said "someone" really should get on that what with it being Christmas eve and all. At this point my sister informs me (which I had already deduced) that "someone" was either her or me. I said it should probably be both of us. I asked my mother where one can find a sonic toothbrush and she suggested Wal-Mart. Well, I nipped that in the bud right away. I am NOT going to Wal-Mart on Christmas eve. She then suggested Linens & Things, which is slightly more acceptable. Of course it turns out that my father has yet to run this idea by my grandmother. And what with it being Sunday and Christmas eve and him being a minister, he's a little busy today. Though at this point, the choice is between a sonic screwdriver toothbrush or nothing, so I'm thinking we're going to go with that. If any of us can actually get motivated enough to go out and buy it.

In other news, I'm feeling a little ill. Kinda queasy. This is bad for two reasons, well three. One: I'm supposed to sing in church tonight. Two: I have to work tomorrow and if I call out I'll lose my holiday pay. Three: It just generally sucks to be sick. I took some TUMS and Pepcid and am gonna see if mom has any mint tea. I hope it's nothing serious.

Have you thought of someplace like Walgreens or Osco or something like that for the sonic toothbrush? It might be cheaper than Linens and Things and a lot better shopping with the choas that will be out there today.
