I'm afraid Peter Petrelli doesn't have long for this world. He's getting too powerful to be dramatically convenient.

ETA: Damn, that's too bad. I was just starting to like Simone.

Yeah, but don't you see him as a foil for Sylar? I think if Peter can control what he absorbs, without the stressors, he'd be able to beat him....

Possibly. But then you've still got this incredibly powerful character hanging around. So you either have to get rid of hime or keep coming up with more and more impossibly powerful bad guys.

But, if they kill off Peter, then I won't have the ache to watch anymore. But then I suppose that I can live with it if they cancel Studio 60. So then I can return to not watching TV on Monday. And stop finding Petrelli related fan-fic online.

I can't say there is any one character I'd quit watching the show over, but I'd definitely miss Peter more than most.

I haven't heard anything about Studio 60. I wouldn't miss it and I probably wouldn't even be watching any more if it wasn't on right after Heroes.

When I watched the latest episode, I was wondering if Peter was going to go bad. Power corrupts... etc. Maybe he's fed up being thought of as needing help all the time... and he's going to use his power to show those people that he doesn't need help anymore... only to need his brother to bring him back to good... assuming that you can consider his brother good...
