Finally saw Last of the Timelords. I have to say I really enjoyed it. Though I do think my potential negative reaction was mitigated by my having already heard the news that Martha was returning to the show and appearing on series 2 of Torchwood. If I had seen the episode thinking that was it for the character I probably would've been pretty upset because Martha is made of awesome and I love her.

I'm hoping she adds some much needed light to Torchwood. I also hope that this new companion they'll be getting won't be another pretty young girl. An older woman might be nice. Someone who won't be quite so lovesick over the Doctor. But what I'd really really like would be for this new companion to be a boy. Like 17-20 (preferably cute). He could fill that role of adoring young companion and the Doctor can be all father-figure like (or slashy depending on how you look at it) and Martha can come back as more of a Sarah and less of a Jo.


Going to see Transformers tonight! Very excited.

They just made the announcement on the Martha comm. The new companion is going to be Catherine Tate, who played Donna in "The Christmas Invasion."
