I got my tax refund check in the mail today. This is good because the credit card bill for my new sofa is due at the end of this month and now I don't have to dip into my savings.
Speaking of savings, despite the cross country flight and several trips to New York, I'm doing very well with the saving. If things keep up they way they are I may even have enough saved for a down payment on a house in another three or four months. The prospect of home ownership is pretty damn scary, but it's a good thing, and with the real estate market in the state it's in at present, now really is the time to buy.
And in other news, tomorrow is primary day! I'm very excited. I'm also very undecided.
Clinton has been irritating me lately. And I'm suspicious of Obama's charisma. I guess I'm ever so slightly leaning toward Obama just because I think he's better for the process and he has a better chance of getting out the youth vote. And I honestly believe that getting young people excited about the process is vital to the survival of the Republic.

This is exciting news! Do you have any place in particular in mind? Are you looking for a new house or a older one? Someplace close to where you are now?

I definitely want to stay in the area. And I wouldn't mind something with a bit more individuality. What I'd really like is to move back to NJ, but I don't think I can afford to.
