George Takei reportedly has invited several of his former Star Trek co-stars to his upcoming wedding to Brad Altman in California.
The New York Post said Altman dropped to one knee and proposed to his 71-year-old partner when the California Supreme Court ruled last month that gay marriage was legal.
Takei and Altman have lived together in Los Angeles for 21 years.
Takei's best man at the Sept. 14 ceremony is to be Walter Koenig, who played Chekhov on Star Trek, while Nichelle Nichols who played Uhura on the series, is to be matron of honor, the Post said.
Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock, is also to be a guest at the Sept. 14 ceremony.
We've shared the good times as well as struggled through the bad, Takei said on his blog in announcing his wedding to Altman. (Altman) helped me care for my ailing mother, who lived with us for the last years of her life. He is my love and I can't imagine life without him.
